Founded in 2016, The Sales Department specialises in providing Outsourced Sales Management services to small, medium, and large organisations. With a proven track record across multiple industry verticals, we have partnered with over 46 companies in sectors such as technology, ICT services, precision agriculture, luxury retail, SaaS, construction and real estate, medical, finance and insurance, FMCG as well as global casino operators.

Our expertise extends beyond Outsourced Sales Management, to executing complex business consulting projects focused on sales and growth. This includes designing strategies, go-to-market planning and executing and implementing tailored solutions.

With experience spanning the United States, Middle East, the United Kingdom, and Africa, we bring a global perspective to every engagement, helping businesses navigate diverse markets and achieve scalable success.

 

FOUNDER, CEO - Sean Raymond

Sean’s journey into the corporate world began with humble beginnings—stepping into sales, in 1998, without any formal qualifications.

The plan was clear: leverage commission earnings to fund studies, gain valuable experience, and build a foundation for future success.

Over the years, Sean achieved impressive academic milestones, earning a CFA designation from the CFA Institute and qualifications in Financial Management and Business Management from the prestigious Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

As he pursued his studies, Sean discovered a deep passion for sales. This passion led him to senior leadership roles at global organisations such as Thomson Reuters, Business Connexion, and Times Media Publishing. While a career in finance and banking was his original goal, it was ultimately sales that captured his heart and defined his career path.

Sean thrives on nurturing talent in aspiring sales professionals, guiding them to achieve both personal and professional success. With a proven track record of building and leading large, complex sales functions across industries, he has consistently delivered results, regardless of market conditions.
